Merry Christmas from the IWCT

As 2019 draws to a close the trustees would like to send seasons greetings to everyone and wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

It has been a very busy year for the IWCT with different events and fundraising activities and we are extremely grateful for the support we have been given by so many Irish Wolfhound owners and associates.

At this stage, we are in the process of preparing our end of year accounts and report to go to the Charity Commission and once again we have been staggered by the generosity of our donors and thank you to each and everyone that has donated money.

As we reflect on the past year there have naturally been highs and lows and we were all greatly saddened to learn of the passing of one particular Wolfhound that has previously benefitted from some funding from the Charity. I know that some of us have also inevitably lost hounds of our own the last 12 months - to all owners who have lost a beloved hound this year, please accept our deepest sympathies.

Moving forward to 2020, further events and initiatives are being planned and monies from the heart fund have been allocated to continue heart research (in conjunction with a project being undertaken by the Kennel Club) to benefit the breed as a whole, in addition to other breed-related activities.
