  • noise nuisance

  • cruelty / Duty of Care
  • and much, much more!

Trevor has specialised in Doglaw for 23 years and is widely regarded as a leading solicitor
in England and Wales for this niche area of law both civil and criminal cases. Trevor started his career in local government and has acted for the prosecution (having been a Principal Solicitor with the Environment Agency for 5 years) as well as the defence - he was also a Magistrate on the North Yorkshire bench.

Trevor was formerly the Doglaw specialist for Dogs Trust and currently splits his time acting as the Doglaw Consultant for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home as well as continuing to act for dog owners, as well as dog related professionals and organisations in both civil and criminal proceedings.

We wanted to offer a seminar that is very relevant in the current climate for dog owners. We are all beholden to the Dangerous Dogs Act yet many of us have no real idea of its implication. As owners of a giant breed we are all conscious of our added responsibility, for example exercising a galloping hunting hound in public in modern day Britain does bring an enhanced responsibility and this seminar taken by Trevor Cooper who is a specialist canine solicitor aims to give us all an insight to the law and how it affects us and our dogs. We live in a time of litigation where the law now extends into our homes as well as when we are out and about with our dogs so it is an important aspect of dog ownership to be well informed.

There is a certificate for all attendees and an opportunity to ask questions towards the end of the session

The course will last approx. 3.5hrs with refreshments provided.
